What does it include?

     

    Diabetes education empowers patients to take an active role in their diabetes management. This allows for the best possible outcome and optimal diabetes control, which is individualized for each patient.

 

Who teaches the class?

      Diabetes management ideally involves a team approach incorporating the patient, a provider, and the diabetes educator. Diabetes education is provided by a Registered Dietitian or Certified Diabetes Educator.

      Diabetes education provides information on all aspects of diabetes care, including nutrition, exercise, glucose monitoring, and medications.
