Lab Orders

     Sugarland Endcrine and Thyroid will provide you with a paper copy of all lab and imaging orders at the time of your visit. We will provide a electronic submission of your lab orders to your email address at the time of your office visit if requested by patient.

 

Blood testing locations:

If your physician orders blood work, you may go to any lab that is accepted by your insurance. For more efficient processing we offer a Quest Lab in our office.  Please complete your labs about a week prior to your visit so they will be ready by the time of your visit.  It is the patient's responsibility to make sure the laboratory is in-network.  Charges are made directly from the lab to your insurance.

Fasting Instructions: 

Please make sure you review the specific written instructions given to you by your doctors office. 

No food of any kind, no gum,  plain water is OK. Take your morning pills with water only. 

 

Urine Collections Instructions:

Twenty-four hour urine collections have specific instructions to follow depending on what substance is being tested. Please follow the specific written instructions given to you by your doctors office.

Medications:

We will electronically send or fax your prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice. At your initial visit you should give us the name and zip code of your preferred pharmacy or mail order service.  Please verify your insurance is accepted by the pharmacy you choose.

Imaging Tests and Treatment Facilities:

Please have testing done at the location given to complete your testing. Please make sure you review the specific written instructions given to you by your doctors office.  Please verify your insurance is accepted by the imaging facility.  If it is not please contact us so that we may provide you alternative options
